The 2020 Beaune Grèves 1er Cru has a wonderful bouquet: very pure and refined, billowing red cherries and crushed strawberry fruit comingling with pressed rose petals. The terroir really comes through here. The palate is medium-bodied with sappy red berry fruit, a fine bead of acidity, quite structured with a fresh, saline finish.
