From 10- to 25-year-old vines on schistous slopes and harvested on September 13, the 2018 Savennières La Jalousie combines the crunchy purity of the terroir with super ripe and intense white fruit aromas and a touch of caramel. Aged on the lees for 10 months in fiberglass tanks, this is a medium to full-bodied, very elegant, refined and salty, well-tensioned and refreshing Chenin with an intense, pretty powerful and structured finish. The Jalousie clearly represents a warm vintage and excellent terroir. 13.5% alcohol.
